Updates to some key experience touch points to enhance the ability to add public accounts and hashtags.
Once public accounts or hashtags have been added to the platform, a banner will now appear at the top of the page letting users know that content is being pulled in and should appear in their social streams shortly.
This banner will automatically disappear once content from all newly added public accounts and hashtags has been received.
This will also indicate to users to not create any reports as all content might not be available in the social stream.
The main reason for adding this banner is because of the initial content ingestion delay due to rate limitations applied by Instagram and to be transparent with the users and let them know exactly what is happening.
In order to upload public accounts in bulk, there is a button available at the bottom of the Manage Connections popup.
Upon clicking on the button, users can view the sample file to understand the required format of the CSV and then upload it.
Once the CSV is successfully uploaded, the users will get a notification via email letting them know that the processing has been complete. The email will also contain a breakdown of the number of public accounts uploaded, any duplicate public accounts as well as any invalid public accounts. Both duplicate and invalid public accounts will not be uploaded.
After the email has been received, users can refresh the page and check the Manage Connections popup again to verify whether the accounts have been added. Once added, ingestion of content will begin and hence be displayed in the social stream.
